Wow!  What can we say about Aerosmith that hasn’t been said in every rock publication in the world? How about they’re playing their first Sturgis Rally Concert at the Best Party ANYWHERE – The Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground!

Aerosmith is also known as "The Bad Boys from Boston" and "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band". Their blues-based hard rock style also incorporates elements of heavy metal, glam, rhythm and blues and even a little pop.

They formed in 1970 in Boston. In 1972, Columbia Records signed them and they released one multi-platinum album after another, including their self-titled debut album.

It will come as no surprise to the Sturgis Rally community that Aerosmith is and always has been among the most requested bands in the Legendary Buffalo Chip’s 28-year history.

They hit the mainstream audience first in 1975 with their “Toys in the Attic” LP and followed that with the 1876 smash “Rocks.” By the end of the decade, Aerosmith was one of the most popular rock bands in the world. Of course it follows that they would be among the most popular hard rock bands among bikers.

The Buffalo Chip’s world-renowned rock fan biker crowd knows that this amazing band, on Geffen Records since 1984, has had huge hits in each of the four decades since their first two: “Sweet Emotion” and “Dream On.”

All most Sturgis Rally bikers will have to do is look at their own record collection to know that Aerosmith is the bestselling American hard rock band of all time. They’ve some 150 million albums worldwide and more than 66 million of those were sold right here in America.

Pay attention Buffalo Chip rock fans. Aerosmith has had 21 Top 40 hits.
They have sold more Gold and Platinum records by an American rock band.
And their success isn’t just among rock fans. Critics love them too.
They’ve won four Grammies, ten MTV video awards and were listed in Rolling Stone magazine’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009 will be one for the record books at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground, the first, biggest and certainly the best camping and entertainment venue serving bikers anywhere in the universe.
