BUCKCHERRY
Some of the bands we’ve seen at the Legendary Buffalo Chip over 28 years of Sturgis Rally parties have had a great album and then tried to rest on those laurels.
But not Buckcherry. Buckcherry will play at the Chip on Friday, Aug. 7 during Sturgis Bike Week.
Buckcherry – invigorated by the huge success of “15,” their Platinum selling Grammy-nominated album, came with a go-for-the-throat sophomore effort in “Black Butterfly,” which promises to be as big as “15.”
"The bar's been raised because of 15," said Josh Todd, lead singer. "We spent longer on the writing process for BLACK BUTTERFLY than for any of our other records. We wanted to make sure that we had the goods, because 15 was a great record.”
Guitaris Keith Nelson agrees, adding, " We haven't changed much in the process – it's the same rehearsal space, the same pre-production room. The only difference is the cars in the parking lot are a little nicer."
Sturgis Rally rock fans know that Buckcherry is known for it’s amazing stage shows that have played a major role in their commercial success.
