Cheech & Chong’s legacy of hilarity began in the 1970s when Richard “Cheech” Marin and Tommy Chong connected with a wide audience of hippies, free love enthusiasts and of course, stoners.

The duo will bring their Light Up America Tour to the Legendary Buffalo Chip on Tuesday, Aug. 4, during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. And Sturgis bikers have been enjoying their comedy for years.
With 10 albums under their belt and numerous comedy singles, there is scarcely a Sturgis Rally biker alive who hasn’t heard the iconic “Dave’s not here,” bit. And, the duo has fourteen movies to their credit, not including the award winning 2005 documentary “a/k/a Tommy Chong, which documents the entrapment and inicarceration of Tommy Chong.
Both comics have had successful solo careers since parting ways in the 1980s. Marin has appeared in numerous television shows and movies as well as doing character voicing for animated films.
Chong appeared in such comedies as “Far Out Man” and co-starred on the Fox television series “That ‘70s Show,” where he played played the burned-out hippie, Leo.
