Jerry Corbetta is the lead singer, keyboardist and founder of the melodyi and lyric oriented "Green-Eyed Lady" supergroup Sugarloaf. He was a feisty six-year-old, the Rocky Mountain News called him "a pint-sized Gene Krupa.”
When he formed Sugarloaf fifteen years later he was a virtuoso keyboardist, songwriter and singer. “Green-Eyed Lady,” and “Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You,” both topped the charts. Because his hits are still regularly heard on classic rock stations, he remains a favorite across generations of Sturgis Rally rock fans.
Mike Pinera is one of the most respected guitarists in rock history. As the lead guitarist for Blues Image, Alice Cooper and Iron Butterfly, Pinera set new standards for guitar excellence in rock music. Sturgis Bike Week music fans especially relate to his Blues Image hit “Ride Captain Ride.”
Any ‘70s music connoisseur holds Rare Earth in the highest regard. Their funk-laced good-time music is still a staple on classic rock stations around the world. Peter Rivera, lead singer, drummer and founder of Rare Earth today has one of the most recognized voices in rock music.
Together, Pinera, Corbetta and Rivera have sold multiple millions of records with hits like “Get Ready,” “Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You,” “I’m Losing You,” “Ride Captain Ride,” “Born To Wander,” “Green-Eyed Lady,” and “Hey Big Brother.” And, they put on a stage show that is sure to be among the favorites for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally music fans who camp at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground.
