The Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground has been the epicenter of extraordinary musical highlights for 30 years. This perfect rocker atmosphere has attracted the crazy Harley-riding, pierced, tattooed up, members of Buckcherry for another unforgettable and historical show.
The L.A. band got their start in 1995 and released two albums; “Buckcherry” in in 1999 and “Time Bomb” in 2001. Buckcherry toured nonstop in support of the debut album, including opening for Lenny Kravitz on his Freedom Tour and participating at the infamous Woodstock 99, and performed opening dates for AC/DC in the spring of 2000.
In January 2002, Jonathan Brightman, Yogi Lonich, and Devon Glenn each successively left Buckcherry, and were replaced by Dave Markasky, Josh Fleeger, and Matt Lawrence. Josh Todd and Keith Nelson still planned to continue the band, and began the writing process for a third album which was never completed.
Buckcherry reunited officially in 2006 for their third album, “15”, and it proved to be an impressive comeback that ran the extent of radio formats. “Crazy Bitch” was a hard-stomping sex song and “Sorry” was a teary-eyed acoustic ballad. The album went platinum with five singles.
2008 was the year the band released their fourth album, “Black Butterfly”, which debuted at number eight on the top 200 charts. It was the number one rock album that week. Its first single, “Too Drunk,” was similar to “Crazy Bitch” with its blunt sexual content and demonstrated a groove-based approach.
The bands fifth album, “All Night Long,” was released in 2009. Leading off with the title-track single, the record emphasized hard-rock tunes as well as ballads “I Want You” and “Bliss.”
Buckcherry recently wrapped up the Jägermeister Music Tour where they joined with Hellyeah and All That Remains.
Their next infamous stop at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground is sure to be an excitement filled extravaganza that has kept music and biker fans coming back to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally for over 70 years
