Saving Abel

Saving Abel is Post-Grunge rock and roll band from a small Northern Mississippi town that formed in 2004 with Jared Null and Jason Weeks. They got their name from the Biblical story of Cain and Abel when lead guitarist Jason Null Google the story and found a line that stuck with him; “there is no saving Abel.”

The band gradually came together with guitarist Scott Bartlett, bassist Eric Taylor, and drummer Blake Dixon and from there it was nowhere but up. In 2006, Saving Abel released an album under their own label and released their self-titled, major label debut album in March 2008. The album features the lead single "Addicted," which peaked at number two on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart. Their album peaked at number 49 on the Billboard 200. The album was certified Gold in March 2009. In April 2009, Saving Abel released an EP named 18 Days Tour. The EP contains an acoustic version of the song "18 Days" along with two unreleased songs.

Saving Abel’s second big labeled album, titled "Miss America", was released in June 2010, also offering a downloadable acoustic version of "The Sex Is Good." The first single from the album, Stupid Girl (Only In Hollywood), was released as a digital single and was released to radio. This single peaked at number seven on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart. "The Sex Is Good" was later released as the second single, peaking at number one on the same chart in January 2011. The third single is the title track, "Miss America."

The sexual and explosive lyrics that are matched with unforgettable melodies have made Saving Abel a household name and a mainstream marvel. Their style is a combination of inspiration from 3 Doors Down and Lynyrd Skynyrd. For these reasons Saving Abel have headlined concerts and festivals with Nickelback, Filter, Buckcherry, 12 Stones, Drowning Pool, Egypt Central, Hellyeah, Red, and Pop Evil.

Saving Abel’s high electric always bringing the party attitude along with hits like “The Sex is Good,” “Addicted,” and “Miss America,” make them a hot commodity for events like the 71st annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and the best party anywhere at the Legendary Buffalo Chip.
