Playing all day and all night (almost), the Kinison Playground is the electric guitar and classic rock fan haven which is also home of the Buffalo Chip Xtreme Burnouts and the infamous Pickle lick’n Contest. Ride your bike up onto the gigantic steel bar and burnout here or stroll up to the stage on foot, there are plenty of drinks, music and good times awaiting you this 2009 rally as these bands take the stage:

  With a tour that spreads across national borders these 4 have the hard to resist live show that stands out. Take it from Kaytee(vocals), Bud(lead guitar), Steve(bass), and Don(drums) it’s not easy putting this much attitude and talent on one stage. With each performance, these guys get better. With more than 7 years of experience, they are pretty damn good at putting the beat down right where you want it and following it up with get-your-attention vocals.   Get ready for this combination of raw talent and cultivated musicianship as alternative country rockers from southern Virginia take on the Sturgis rally. Jim (guitar,vocals), Luisa-Mari (vocals, cowbells), Sam (drums), and John (bass) are headed to the stages at The Chip bringing their White Stripes meets Garth Brooks with a pinch of Tina Turner approach to music.   Veterans of the Chip, Midstokke is quickly becoming a household name among biker folk who expect nothing but a good time when these boys hit the stage. The rock-out-loud sounds of this Sturgis rally band deliver the energy and performance that gets everyone in the mood for a kick ass time. David (vocals, guitar, mandolin, fiddle), Brandon (vocal and guitar), Bobby (bass) and Mike (drums) deliver the show that “wraps the electric guitars around a firm bed of acoustic sound” and they know just what the Chip campers want in a party and are prepared to make it happen. CB Variety Show

  The stage is all yours during the Karaoke Happy Hour! It’s something of a backwards American Idol and a spot-on Gong Show, we’re looking for the campers that have the biggest balls and least amount of inhibition to perform the number ones of the last 4 decades.   Soaked with the likes of vintage punk, modern psychedelia, roots and surf rock these guys take a minimalists’ approach to rock. Chris (guitar, vocals, harmonica), Tommy the Silent (keyboards, vocals, trombone) and Jeff (drums) have overcome the challenges to produce their recently released “smokethisbaby” a collection of the Violent Hippie originals. Even though they’ve skipped the bass guitar it doesn’t mean they cut out the rhythm. DJ Scotty

  DJ Scotty has the energy pumping before and after the main stage acts on the Micro Brew Station. DJ Scotty puts on a killer live show and when you combine it with the Buffalo Chip Go-Go Dancers, hot bartenders and cold drinks it is hard to imagine what could top it.
