The Reverend Jimmie Bratcher will be a nightly staple at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground from Monday, August 9th through Friday Aug 13th at the Buffalo Chip’s Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Party.
“The Rev” speaks the language of the blues with a spirit that will infect your heart and soul. Blues Revue Magazine says “it’s as if Ray Charles has been reincarnated in the body of a character from a Woody Allen movie.” You can find “The Rev” in church on Sunday, but on Saturday nights you’ll find him sharing some amazing songs and blistering guitar licks onstage in blues clubs and at music festivals, prisons, churches and biker rallies throughout the States and the United Kingdom. And this year you’ll find him playing at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip motorcycle rally for the first time.
“The Rev’s” red-hot brand of the blues has allowed him to share stages with such greats as Grammy winner David “Honeyboy” Edwards, Blues Music Award winners Zac Harmon and Otis Taylor, and Hubert Sumlin, one of Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”
“The Rev’s” newest CD “The Electric Rev,” his 6th CD, was produced by Mike O’Neil and legendary Grammy Award-winning producer Jim Gaines (Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Journey), The Electric Rev, showcases performances that are both intimate and raw.
