I have finally got a little extra time and I would like to give my input on our "Chip" experience in 2006. It was great as always except for the fact that we were only able to stay for a couple days. I didn't think that I would like the fact that we were unable to take the bike into the concert area, but I enjoyed the concert more without the bikes in the concert area revving their engines during the concerts. I am NOT a fan of Kid Rock, but I can see that his fans enjoyed his concert. I'm to old for him, but the concert was NOT bad, just not my "cup of tea". That happened to be one of the days that we were able to be there. We did enjoy Gretchen Wilson. The new "Emerald Pond" was an excellent addition. By the way, what was the deal on the "no wet t-shirt contests"? There were a couple young men that were trying to get one going one hot afternoon and they were told something about a new ordinance forbidding the contests, but on the other hand, one can get to see some (o)(o)'s for a nickel's worth of beads. We have ordered the weeklong pass for '07, and I hope we get to use it. If Toby is as good as he was the last time, his concert will be worth the price of admission for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to '07!!! As always, the outhouses were not to pleasant, but like I said last year, I don't know what to do so they don't stink. I don't think anything can be done. Kind of goes with camping I guess.

Well, outhouses are always going to smell, but the flushers were a nice addition. And I think that anything that could be construed as Chip sanctioned, IE Wet t-shirt contest, is under some sort of county law. Whatever. They even made Lil Red put her top on to keep from sun bathing. Jeez.....

Oh well, looking forward to '07. See ya'll there.

I agree with PekUSA, seems the more you return to the Chip the better it gets :wow: and as stated, there outta be "CHIP laws" and then outside there.. just rules :whistling:

I've stayed a few years all around the Chip but just this past year I chanced Fenske (well its only two going on three years old) and it was about the best money spent. There is no wya to properly humbly comment on the acceptance and the wonderful people.

Shiftngood,

Did you meet up with the party crowd in Fenske? I don't recognize the handle to the face.

Hey PekUSA,

Yes we were there in Fenske this past year, I can never remember names or faces well but Kim can, Bill invited us several times to come and meet the group but honestly Kim and I were there for ourselves and selfishly enjoying some well needed personal time alone. We stayed in the Catered Camping area tent #2. Most days we stayed out of the Chip till just about dinner time then the concerts.. after that we were off to bed. I ride a 2002 FXDWG black with gold flames, Kim and I rode out from Ca. My names Greg
