I have read the FAQ. I have partied at the Chip for the last 3 yrs. Last year I brought a Canon Rebel Digital EOS (300D). This camera has no video capability. While it is a nice consumer camera, it is not a pro grade camera(at least according to Canon). My husband brought along a Canon A95 digital point and shoot camera. His camera does have limited video capabitlity. This camera did not seem to cause much concern. My question is, what standard or definition is going to be applied to cameras this year?

Most all new cell phones have camera/vid cam capabilities. The newest ones capable of 2+ megapix resolutions. This approaches the capabilities of at least the point and shoot digital cameras. Will these become an issue as well?

We have discontinued the use of film camera and have no desire to go back. It would be helpful to have a well defined standard prior to start of this years party. Is would avoid confusion in the campground.

What say admin????

Really curious

Jstarr, now you know if you ask that you are going to get; the official word as listed in the FAQ. I my years, I haven't seen any problems, as long as things were done in a respectful and (so to speak)a PC type manner. However, if you ask, you know the answer you are going to get. The management and the entertainers control what is recorded to the media (film or digital) you use. Some places and events you can record or take pictures, some you can't. You will never be able to control everyone and someone will always try to push the envelop on what they can do.

It is more what you do and how you do it, than who you do it to.
