We're coming from Lubbock. Just 29 more days and we are on the road!!!! My shoulder is healing fine and I'm doing fine riding. I got my cruise control installed and new tires. I'm so ready. I appreciate all the advice and well wishes. We just went to San Francisco and picked up a pirate flag that says "Surrender the Booty" so we will have that flying along with our Texas flag. I hope to catch up with many of you. Those margaritas sound very good! |

| I have been wanting to come to sturgis for ever. I am also waiting for more shoulder surgery. I can ride ok and just hoping when I get to the camp site there will be some kind folks that will assist me setting up my tent. The whole coffee thing is a bit confusing. Do they have a place to heat water for coffee and is it wood or propane. I am trying to figure out how to pack a camp chair also. I think that is about it. |

They have free coffee every morning by the Sturgis Riders Cafe. All you have to do is get up there and help yourself. Breakfast (not free)cooked till 10:00 am sharp. Not 10:01! The Christian Bikers have a tent set up and they have FREE sausage and pancakes plus coffee every morning. Donations gladly accepted. Or some of us go for the dollar dogs and dollar beers all day long from 9:00 am. See ya there. |

HDrider: Last year when I showed up, all I did was set the tent on the ground in preparation to put it up and there were 5 guys there immediately to put it up for me. Now, granted I'm a girl and they all wanted to see my tits, but I'm sure all your neighbors will be just as friendly as mine were and will be glad to help out a fellow rider. Same thing goes for coffee, I found that breakfast time was very pleasant with plenty of people around to offer you a cup and a conversation to start your morning off right. |
