| Hiya Rocky! I'm in Highlands Ranch....As I've posted before...I'm trying to put together a group again this year - I had 5 bikes and 7 people last year... I'm planning on leaving Saturday morning (aug. 5th) or possibly early morning of the 4th. So far, I'm planning on staying the whole week. |

Howdy Crazy..... Ok, I'll admit it....I've never been during the rally. So....it all new to me. Having said that.....do you guys plan on camping or have other arrangements? My bike doesn't have bags (nor do I want any....) so carrying a load may be a challenge. So, how do you manage it all? Lotsa questions, huh.... I'm going to assume it takes close to 8 hours to make the trip with all of the stops along the way....you know, gas and all.... I don't ride a Harley. Long story, but when it was time to buy a new bike I was on the tail end of a divorce, so I bought what I could afford. I ride a Honda Shadow Sabre....not a bad looking ride for a Honda. Anyway....my new Harley is probably another year away. Oh well...life goes on. I'd like to stay in touch and possibly hook up with you guys when the time comes. From time to time I can be found at the Platte River Grill on Santa Fe or the Sedalia Grill, weather permitting (I live in the mountains). My regular email is....jamesd55@hotmail.com. Looking forward to hearing from you. Rocky....aka James |

Hey Rocky! I sent you an email on your hotmail but for the benefit of others..... So far, I do have a vehicle driver lined up so no one will have to ride loaded...my freakin' sporty is so top heavy anyway that loading it with a week's worth of gear is really not a pleasant activity! I also have two friends who have trucks and trailers and they are planning on going up at the same time (Silly Yuppies!! Trailers are for BOATS! ) If anyone is planning on leaving before I do (I'm planning on staying the whole week), they are welcome to leave their stuff in the Jeep and I will call people when we get back on Sunday and folks can just pick up their gear at their own leisure. Last year we all met at the Clubhouse at my apartment complex (I live just off 470 & Lucent) at 5:30, had breakfast (I made breakfast burritos for everybody) and we hauled out at 6:15. One person crashed on my couch overnight since he was coming in from Thornton....and I have no problem with that again this year. The more the merrier!!! |

| GF & I might be down to meet up with you all if the offer is still open. We're in Westminster and looking for a group to ride up with. This will be the first long trip I rode so I'm looking forward to it. We'll also have a car with our gear and pocketbike of death (open for anyone to ride, we'll be in VIP)...anyways hit us up sometime... sfreauff@notenetwork.com or 720.933.8854 |
