Hey folks...for all of you traveling along US 85 through Newcastle...do yourselves a big favor. There is a gas station on the SW corner of the main intersection - it's the first one you see - don't stop there. There is a gas station just 2 blocks west of this one... turn at the intersect and go there. This was my second year taking this route and this past year (I didn't really look the first year) I noticed that the corner station had prices about .35 higher a gallon on gas than what it should have been...so, I went to the other one...and of course, his price was right where it should be. When I asked the guy what was the deal with the first station, he said "that lady's prices are always higher and she especially marks them up for bike week....it's how she manages to make a living since those of us who live in this town have all boycotted her."

Thanks for the info. I always take the ride around the loop from Spearfish to Cheyenne Crossing to Four Corners to Newcastle to Custer and Back up 385 during the trip. Makes for a full day, but worth the trip.

Who said I couldn't learn anything reading this forum?????

It is more what you do and how you do it, than who you do it to.
