hey yall,

i guess nobody wants to read a posting with the word death inthe title... i'll try again

sometime ago i mentioned that i was writing a murder mystery, 'Death in Sturgis', set in sturgis with the hero staying at the Chip. If anyone wants to read a pre-publication version, I'll e-mail a Word version of it to you. When it's published it'll cost a few bucks but i want my fellow Chipsters to get a free look because yall are the ones that make this place the Best Party Anywhere! If you want a copy that you promise not to modify, distribute, etc. send me your e-mail and i'll send a free e-copy to you! First 100 requests, only, please. Any resemblance to anyone, living or dead, is purely coincidental and all that kind of stuff...

BTW, 'Death in Daytona' is already underway

countin' the days,

Hey Doc.
I got a little delayed in starting to read your book but so far I have done thirty-some-odd pages and refuse to put it down.

I'm just printing off another 20 pages so I can sit in the sunshine and read.

Damn good mate, I'll let you know how I get on...

Keep writin'

Doc,

Just finished the book. Started to call it a novel, but sometimes fiction seems a lot like truth. I found it well written and a good storyline.

While some parts seemed a little out of place you managed to keep it all together. The background on some of the places and travels seemed longer than necessary and the information on Tracie was too brief. (I am trying to be helpful without giving up the storyline.) Great endings!!! A good read for everyone. Now you need some illustrations to bring out the characters and locations.

Whether you have been to Sturgis many times, or a first time visitor, there are many parts in the book you will enjoy. I learned a lot about the area. Some of which I knew, other parts I had no clue too. It makes me want to look at the area from a different perspective.

I look forward to a signed copy in hardback and the next one. Keep us posted on your work.

As Always, Good luck and Ride safe.

glad you're enjoying it! remember, any resemblance to anyone living, dead, is a coincidence... yeah, whatever!

let's get together to toast the book some night at the chip!

also, chapter 18 is just a little racy, don't burn up your printer!

i've written the first few chapters of "death in daytona" and i think yall will like it, too!
