NITRO National Pro Hillcilmb Returns to Chip

Hear that rumble? It’s the sound of the Sturgis Rally 2011 Rumble In The Hill Pro Hillclimb at the Buffalo Chip!   And you’re not going to hear it unless you get yourself up there on August 10th and August 11th. There will be one performances daily starting at 6:00pm to 10:00 PM daily. Be there when the green flag drops.

Because that’s when you’re going to witness for yourself this year’s field of exotic custom built hillclimb motorcycles, with steel bolted paddle tires, and nitro injected 200 horsepower engines, ridden by some of the best riders in the country!

Yeah, the Sturgis Rally is just a parade of bikers compared to this awesome spectacle.  This ain’t no local yokel attraction either. The 2009 champion Harold Waddell, as seen on the Discovery Channel, and last year’s champion Max Simmons will be back along with all of the other top riders in the country for Round 5 of the N.A.H.A. Pro Hillclimb series.

Bring your camera to grab pictures of what will look like the flames of Hell blowing out of the back of these bikes.

And just because we hate to be predictable, we regularly modify and improve the hill to keep our bikers on their toes.

Past attendees tell us that this is one of the Sturgis Rally's best entertainment values with $15 advance tickets or $20 at the gate. Advance tickets available through the Buffalo Chip, box office (605-347-9000) on online at BuffaloChip.com. Seating and full consessions will be available.

This action-packed Sturgis Rally event is not for the faint of heart and features the best of the best extreme motorsport riders from around the world to strut their stuff on nitro-burning exotic steel and paddle tire combo motorcycles in this Open Class event.

California's Team Peterson and their ground-eating custom Harley Davidson Hillclimb motorcycles including the amazing 1500cc nitro-methane-burning machine and the earth shaking 2500cc monster that eats lesser bikes for breakfast.

The event is not a Harley-only event, riders will be competing on nearly every motorcycle brand there is. Many of these high-performance machines will be burning exotic fuels like nitro, methanol, and nitrous. Every one of them will be bigger than 700cc with most in the 1400cc range.

Thousands of dollars in prize money is at stake and of course there’s always a chance to see some spectacular crashes.  It’s not your kid’s Saturday afternoon motocross. And just to make sure that you leave the Sturgis bike rally with something to remember, the North American Hillclimb Association has added two 700cc Class events, one on each day, to turn up the heat.

These Sturgis Rally daredevils will come head to handlebars with a 300-foot course featuring impossible ledges and skill-testing jumps during both of the scheduled three-hour events compromising Round 5 of the RacerX / Malcolm Smith Motorsports NAHA Pro Series.

It’s all happening at The Legendary Buffalo Chip’s 30th annual party during Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August. Just in case you’re thinking “how tough can a hill climb rally really be?,” take a few minutes to check out the ass-kicking Sturgis Rally Rumble in the Hills Pro Hillclimb video (shown above) that reveals exactly what you’ll be in for when you make the Hill Climb event part of your must-see Sturgis Bike Week itinerary.

Check out the 2011 Buffalo Chip Sturgis Rally event schedule and see why year after year the Buffalo Chip Campground is where all the action is. No trip to the Sturgis Bike Rally is complete until you’ve been there.

Tickets for this Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Hill Climb event are on sale now at BuffaloChip.com and by calling 605-347-9000 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. MDT, Monday through Friday.
