The Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground will not only play host to the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, but in 2013 will host the Black Hills Mud Run brought to you by Danger Girl Endeavors. The Black Hills Mud Run will take place not just once, but twice in 2013, once June 1 and again Sept. 14, giving you multiple opportunities to enjoy the Buffalo Chip in the offseason and to get dirty and muddy, all while getting into shape!
Mud Runs can vary from 5K to 20K (three to 12 miles) with various obstacles such as hay bales, wall climbs, crawls, tunnels, and of course, mud pits and mud crawls in the way of you and the finish line. Copious amounts of mud are expected, and a dirty good time is required. Mud Runs are gaining in popularity across the country and there is a mud run for every type of person, from beginners to veteran mud runners.
The complete course for the Black Hills Mud Run at the Buffalo Chip will be approximately 3.5 miles with both mud and dry obstacles, competitive and non competitive categories, though both will prove to be challenging. Participants may run in either a competitive or fun category and can run as an individual or as a team. Racers will battle multiple obstacles that require climbing, crawling, mud “swimming” and more.
The finish line and post-race party will offer music, food and beer for racers over 21. Team discounts are available. All racers are encouraged to register with friends and enter into a variety of contests, including best costume, best theme, and more.

A portion of the proceeds will go to a local charity, not yet determined.
Don’t miss your chance to get down and dirty and run the race of a lifetime at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground during the Black Hills Mud Run brought to you by Danger Girl Endeavors.
