Join up with the Buffalo Chip to turn the hills pink and throttle a disease that has touched too many lives. On Friday August 13, we’re sending the 70th Sturgis Rally out in style with a good time for a good cause with survivors, celebrities and riders! Celebrate motorcycling, showcase the spirit of the women riders and contribute to the efforts being made to eliminate the disease that affects too many lives.

The 2nd Annual PinkNProud ride takes motorcycle and musician celebrities, along with sponsors and riders through the Black Hills on a beautiful, fifty mile escorted ride. The ride kicks off with registration and a celebration of women riders at Sacora Station on Sturgis Road off of exit 46. The fun continues at Nemo Guest Ranch with live music, camaraderie, door prizes and a ranch-style lunch. A Chip-size finale awaits PinkNProud riders at the Buffalo Chip Event Center immediately following a pink parade through the campground. Riders and guests are treated to a delicious dessert bar, champagne toasts, an inspiring presentation of ladies in the motorcycle industry and book signing by Cris Sommer-Simmons. All PinkNProud riders will then get a great night of concerts with the sounds of Disturbed and the farewell tour of The Scorpions.
100% of the $150 rider contribution will support cancer education, prevention and life restoration. Funds will be supporting charitable partner, Rapid City Regional Hospital Foundation who is the leader in providing funds for the 6 state region’s cancer treatment center. We don’t want anyone to miss this opportunity to celebrate the Pink life in honor of a co-worker, wife, daughter or mother. 2009 is the year to Turn the Hills Pink with this challenge set forth by the Legendary Buffalo Chip. All are welcome in to decorate houses, neighborhoods and businesses in Pink with an official PinkNProud Decorating Package. Proceeds of the PinkNProud event will support educational, rehabilitation and awareness programs across the nation as well as locally through the Rapid City Regional Hospital foundation. We feel this program is going to be a success because it supports our local community. The John T. Vucurevich Regional Cancer Care Institute is located at Rapid City Regional Hospital and serves people throughout the Black Hills and surrounding communities within a 600 mile radius of Rapid City and Sturgis. At the Cancer Care Institute they are involved in both treatment and research. Dollars raised on behalf of the PinkNProud charity event will help build the new Image Restoration Boutique at the Cancer Care Institute.
