Looking for a way to get your 2009 Sturgis Rally days started off right? If so then make plans to get over to The Church at the Chip. If you’re up early that’s where you’ll find the Sons of Light Ministry serving up some pancakes and some prayer.

Another of the Buffalo Chip “regulars,” the Sons of Light Ministry travels the nation looking for biker souls to save. The Ministry proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the community as a whole, but its focus is on the biker community. The goal of the ministry is to bring Jesus Christ to the bikers who’ve never been able or who have never wanted to step foot inside a church.

Starting at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4th and continuing every morning through the end of the Buffalo Chip Campground festivities, the Church of the Chip tent is where you’ll find plenty of huge, stomach-filling pancakes, lots of fresh brewed coffee, and plenty of other bikers in search of conversation and inspiration.

The Sons of Light breakfast and prayer session is an informal occasion so don’t worry if you didn’t bring along your Sunday best. Just come as you are and bring along an open mind, a receptive heart and of course, your appetite because what Jesus cares about most is that you make Him part of your life.

Jesus is not judgmental. To Him, it’s not important what you’ve done in your past. He knows nothing can change that. But he also knows that you can change your future and that change can start the moment you’re willing to let Him help.

Even if you aren’t ready to take Him into your life, maybe you have questions about the role that Jesus can play in your life. If so, you’re encouraged to bring along your questions and enjoy the free pancake breakfast. You might be surprised to learn what Jesus has done for other bikers and that more bikers than you probably imagine are already riding with Jesus. Who knows, maybe you’ll be next!

Of all the crazy things that the Sturgis Rally has become famous for, one of the most interesting is the number of marriages that take place during this annual event. If you and your Sturgis babe are ready to take your relationship to the next level, well that’s all the more reason to show up at the Sons of Light Ministry free pancake breakfast!

Many a wedding ceremony has taken place right here at the Buffalo Chip Campground and there’s no reason why yours can’t be next. Just plan a time to meet with the Minister so you and your soon-to-be-spouse know when and where to show up!
