This will be the third year that the Buffalo Chip has obtained the services of Mailworks Plus. We are very happy to have Mailworks with us as it has made shipping of your items to and from the Buffalo Chip much simpler. Doug Schmit is the owner/operator of Mailworks Plus and will help you in any way he can. Just give him a call!

Mailworks Plus provides: air transportation (except passenger); awards, medals & trophies; copying & duplicating services; fax services; packaging, shipping & labeling services; and passport/visa services.

The hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please note that handling charges for incoming and outgoing packages will apply.

Leave Your Mark

Here's a way to make a lasting impression with your personal mark on the Legendary Buffalo Chip. In the green, picturesque creek bottom to the Southern part of the campground is "The Old Barn."
The area looks like it was snatched right out of the Old West...because it was. This year, "The Old Barn" will be the host site of the Buffalo Pitchfork Fondue. It's a great place to take a break, have a beer with a friend and try to imagine who has been there before you. Maybe it was a member of the Calvary, or prior to that a member of the Sioux, Ree or Arikara Tribes. More recently, it may have been a member of a famous rock band, a lost loved one or a friend from your past. There are about 300 feet of old wooden fence surrounding the area and you will have the opportunity to add your initials, or the name of a loved one by branding them into the wood. There will be parts of the fence devoted to the Children's Cranial Facial Association, Veterans, Easter Seals of South Dakota, Harley Riders and In Memory Of. A fee will be charged to cover the cost of the brands and staffing. Fifty percent of the fee will go to one of the charities. If you're lucky enough to be included among the Buffalo Pitchfork Fondue diners, just look for the person with the branding iron in his hands and have him help you become a part of the Chip for years to come.
Do it early in the week, because we suspect the walls will fill up quickly.

Services Provided to Piedmont camping areas during the 2006 Sturgis Rally

Our Goal is to make the Piedmont camping areas just as accessible to the motorcycle rally as any other camp ground. We are here to make sure every person from your camp ground has a fun, safe, and enjoyable ride to the rally they will never forget.

We have set times that we WILL be there to pick your campers up. Those times are 9:00am 1:30pm 5:30pm and 11:30 pm (this time can very). These pick-up times are for the Sacora Camp ground, we will make trips to other camp grounds after they sign up for the service. We will also have return rides to your camping areas. These return rides will leave from down town Sturgis at 10am 12:30pm 4:30pm 10pm and 2am. After leaving down town Sturgis these return trips will stop at the Buffalo Chip on their way to piedmonts.

The Price for this service is kept at a minimum of $10 for single ride one way. We are also offering a wristband for only $40. This wristband can be bought when you get on the bus. This wristband is good for all trips during the dates August 5 to August 13 2006. This wristband will work for the designated bus going from Piedmont to Sturgis and the Buffalo Chip.

We will be running from Woody's (aka Teddy's) to the Buffalo Chip everyday starting to 4th of August and it will leave at 6:45pm.
