In 1966 Dick Shultz started a small electronics store called Sound of Music. Shortly after the store was opened a tornado forced him to sell what he could and turn the rest over to insurance. It was then the idea for Best Buy was started. In 1966 the first shovel head was introduced in the Electra Glide replacing the panhead. The seventies were rather uneventful for both companies, they both spent the ten years growing their infrastructure and perfecting their business. The eighties saw prosperity for both companies. They both were listed on the NYSE, and began to truly become the companies we know today. The last 15 years have led way for substantial growth in both companies, profits soared and loyalty grew. We now have two great companies coming together in one awesome location, the Legendary Buffalo Chip. It is Best Buy’s opportunity to give back to the customers that have helped build our company. By offering the services we are this year, we hope to incorporate convenience into your lives while you enjoy the open air rides the Black Hills famously offers.
