The following is a copy of a notice the State put out, and is provided for your information.

ATTENTION: STURGIS RALLY VENDORS The State of South Dakota has announced that if you plan to sell products or services at the rally you will need a temporary sales tax license, unless you'll be at your permanent location in Sturgis. Applications for a temporary sales tax license will be available at the Department of Revenue Office in May. They can also be downloaded from the Department of Revenue web site at  www.state.sd.us/revenue. Other forms that will be available at that site are: City of Sturgis Permit, Meade County Permit & Department of Health Applications. Call 605-394-2332 for more information. The City of Sturgis now provides vendor manuals online. They can be viewed and downloaded at www.sturgismotorcyclerally.com/vendorinformation.html .

NOTE: The Chip is not in the City of Sturgis, but Meade County. State and County rules apply, but City of Sturgis rules do not.
