Thursday’s Act to Bring out the Favorites!
Tesla will add a hard rock component to the extraordinary lineup at the Legendary Buffalo Chip’s musical lineup for the 2009 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally with a performance on Thursday, Aug. 6.
“Tesla is just one of those hard rock bands with enough blues influence to really bring the party to a new level,” said Rod Woodruff, campground owner. “Their musicianship combined with a string of rockin’ hits are sure to have our Thursday night Sturgis Rally crowd get off their bikes and boogie.”
With 16 million records sold and 23 charted hits, Tesla has become a favorite among the bikers who attend Sturgis Bike Week.
Wait until you hear Frank Hannon’s solo in “Into The Now” on what may be the weirdest electrical musical instrument ever – the Burns Theremin.
Buffalo Chip Sports Complex –
2009 Rumble In The Hills Pro Hillclimb
Get ready for Round 4 of the entertaining and competitive NAHA Pro Hillclimb series and see it unfold at the Buffalo Chip Sports Complex. The area, developed to host events such as the Hillclimb, Mud Drags and Machine Gun Shooting has a jam packed schedule with events happening each day.
The 2009 Rumble In The Hills will feature Harold Wadell and top riders from across the hill climb circuit. These racers roll in to race with
exotic custom built hillclimb motorcycles
. The steel bolted paddle tires and nitro injected 200 horse power engines launch riders to the top of the 300 foot hill complete with ledges and radical jumps.
Four races will take place on
Wednesday August 5th and Thursday August 6th
starting at 10am each day. This is a separately ticketed event which can be
purchased in advance for $15 online
. Spectators can
expect 6 hours of adrenaline
and throttling up-hill entertainment and the chance to meet the riders.
