Rock Band Hinder Joins Buffalo Chip Bill
BUFFALO CHIP CAMPGROUND, SD -- Hard rock band Hinder will play at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground Thursday, Aug. 6 during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. They join Tesla for a night of hard rock n roll.
In the spirit of what some critics have called the politically incorrect Sunset Strip days of Guns N' Roses, LA Guns, and Faster Pussycat, Hinder has taken cues from these rock legends and combined them with big hooks, vocal harmonies and modern guitar sounds to create their own brand of hard rock.
The bands debut album, Extreme Behavior, went triple platinum and their second album, Take it to the Limit, will be released in November. Hinders hits include the chart-topping Lips of an Angel, as well as Use Me, Better Than Me, and Without You.
Since 2001, the Oklahoma natives have infused the music scene with tales of their self-described wild n wooly lifestyle, which according to their artist bio include downing J?rbull shots like water, encouraging audiences to do likewise and partying with Playboy models on the set of their latest video.
The band, made of up lead vocalist Austin Winkler, guitarists Joe Blower Garvey and Mark King, bassist Mike Rodden and drummer Cody Hanson, never played outside of Oklahoma before signing with Universal Records, but is now used to life on the road.
Hinder is a great addition to the music line-up at the Legendary Buffalo Chip, said Rod Woodruff, campground owner. Hinder embodies the free-spirited, fun-loving hard rock vibe of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and were excited to welcome the band to our stage.
Other confirmed performers for the Buffalo Chips concert series include: Aerosmith, George Thorogood & the Destroyers, Toby Keith, Lita Ford, Billy Squier and counter-culture comics Cheech & Chong.
