Gear Up for The Guess Who on Saturday August 8th
As we gaze out the window at the Buffalo Chip offices we see snow – snow that is blowing sideways at about 90 miles per hour – on May 13, 2009. That’s correct. We are getting Canadian weather in Sturgis, South Dakota – in May. What better environment to announce that The Legendary Buffalo Chip is paying homage to our neighbors to the north by choosing Canadian rock giants The Guess Who to close the Best Party Anywhere! We shall hope it doesn’t snow on Saturday, Aug. 8 during the annual Sturgis Rally.
“American Woman,” “No Sugar Tonight – New Mother Nature,” “Laughing,” “No Time,” “These Eyes,” “Hand Me Down World,” “Clap for the Wolfman,” “Share The Land” and “Undone” are just a few of the hits that have made the Manitoba music icons one of the most pivotal rock bands of the 1960s and 1970s.
These are the guys who kicked The Beatles off the top of the Billboard charts with “American Woman” and “No Sugar Tonight – New Mother Nature.” And we know they are going to kick it for the Sturgis Rally music fans who come to the Buffalo Chip each year.
Friends in Boise Idaho!
