Sturgis Rally music fans are in for a treat when the lead singers and founding members of some of rock’s most successful acts will take the stage at the Legendary Buffalo Chip on Friday, July 31 during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The group consists of Peter Rivera, lead singer, drummer and founding member of Rare Earth; Mike Pinera, lead guitar player, lead singer and founding member of Blues Image, lead singer and guitarist for Iron Butterfly and lead guitarist for Alice Cooper; and Jerry Corbetta, lead singer, keyboard player and founder of Sugarloaf.
Their hits include: “I Just Want To Celebrate,” “I’m Losing You,” “Hey Big Brother,” “Born To Wander,” “Tobacco Road,” “Ride Captain Ride,” “Inna Gadda Da Vida,” “School’s Out,” “Green-Eyed Lady,” and “Don’t Call Us We’ll Call You.”

Deadwood Special Rolls in for Legends Ride
The official motorcycle of the 2009 Legends Ride is here. Built with a stylized niche, Kyle Shorey of Shadetree Fabrications stamped this Deadwood Special with his seal of approval. Based in Texas, Shadetree Fabrications designed and built this hot rod to capture the spirit of Deadwood, host of the 2009 Legends Ride and once lawless town run by infamous gamblers and gunslingers. Along with Kyle’s renowned creativity and craftsmanship, this 2009 custom boasts of a retro fame, wheels and front end from Kustomerks, 96-inch Evo motor from S & S Cycle Inc., along with brakes and forward controls from Jaybrake. Painted by Gary Queen and his crew at Other Side Customs, the bike also has a hand-tooled Legends Ride seat by Chris Alexander and plenty of handmade parts from Kyle himself.
So how can you ride away on this show stopper? This one-of-a-kind bike goes up for bid EXCLUSIVELY at the 2nd annual Legends Ride live auction which takes place and the conclusion of the special riders reception, Monday – August 3rd.
What makes the Deadwood Special so special? All the parts and labor were graciously donated for the bike which will be auctioned off to support the Legends Ride that raises funds for the Black Hills Children’s Home and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame.
