Keepin The Party Laughin’
The jokes of the year that dare you not to laugh are coming to the Legendary Buffalo Chip, courtesy of funny man, Dwight York. His one-liners have made their way to hundreds of clubs in the upper Midwest and are now available on his new live comedy CD “Quickies”. Dwight has something going on all the time at the Buffalo Chip so make sure to catch his “short but satisfying” jokes from the Black Parrot Pond, Kinison Playground and Hoyt-Axton Blues Fondue stages throughout the day.
Remember to check out his cracked humor on the “Quickies” CD which was recorded live at the Skyline Comedy Café and produced by Grammy winning producer and owner of Stand UP! Records, Dan Schlissel. Dwight has chosen to launch his “Quickies” CD at the Buffalo Chip where it will be available for sale before anywhere else!
Facebook Fans of the Legendary Buffalo Chip are enjoying their mornings with Dwight as he releases some of his favorite one-liners and gives them a sneak peak at what’s sure to be the funniest part of the party.
Golf Car Rental Available for 2009
New for 2009 are Golf Car rentals which are fast, easy and convenient for Chip campers. Check out the Sturgis Rally Rate or get your own cart for the entire Buffalo Chip Concert Series. Its first come, first served as they only have so many in the fleet! Check them out for the second best way to get around the campground – motorcycles, of course, will always reign number one.
Patriot Guard Riders Help Celebrate Freedoms
When you’re at the Chip it’s hard to miss the fact that we’re Red, White & Blue through and through. It’s all thanks to the folks who share in the mission to celebrate the freedoms and remember the past like those who are a part of the Patriot Guard Riders. The PGR and Legendary Buffalo Chip are pleased to announce an important aspect of the patriotic exhibits which are part of the Annual Buffalo Chip Military Tribute.
In a declaration of the United States of America each of the 50 state flags will be placed along the entrance of the Field of Flags. Also flown with pride, are the flags of the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force to honor veterans and those serving their country today. Standing proud within the display is the POW-MIA flag to symbolize the brothers and sisters who are not forgotten.
The Patriot Guard Riders are famous for their work in assisting the families of fallen soldiers. This year they have expanded their role and will serve as an official escort for the American Tribute display. Make sure to get back to camp early and catch a special performance of Taps from the West Box Office -- Sounding off each day at 5pm.
