Take a Ride – Support a Cause
For 2009 the Legendary Buffalo Chip is proud to present two ways for our guests to have a good time and get in on the hottest double headliner concerts all while giving back to worthwhile charitable causes. These events are our way of continuing to support efforts being made on local and national levels and pulling out the stops for folks to join in for a good cause.
Legends Ride – Monday August 8, 2009
An all-star roster of celebrities, world-class bike builders, cigar aficionados and artists have signed on to participate in the second annual Legends Ride to benefit Black Hills charities. Special Guests in the 2009 Legends Ride, which will be held Monday, August 3rd to kick off the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, include Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, and a host of the nation’s top bike builders, including Roger Bourget, Christian Clayton, Brain Klock, Michael Prugh and Paul Yaffe.
Aerosmith will be performing live at the Legendary Buffalo Chip, Wednesday August 5th and according to Dirico Motorcycles publicist, Aerosmith front man, Steven Tyler and Dirico Motorcycles USA will take part in the 50-mile escorted Legends Ride that will take participants from historic Deadwood, S.D., through the Black Hills, and will finish at the Legendary Buffalo Chip in Sturgis.
Registration for the 2009 event is open, and tickets are going fast. They can be purchased at www.legendsride.com or by calling (605) 347-9000. The 2009 Legends Ride is a $150 contribution, 100% of which goes to the charities of Kids & Chrome. Contributing riders not only get to enjoy the ride but also a special souvenir gift pack, special parking privileges in Deadwood and the Legendary Buffalo Chip, meet-and-greet opportunities with master builders and celebrities, food and drinks at an invite only reception, as well as headliners Toby Keith and Lita Ford.
PinkNProud Charity Ride – Friday August 7, 2009
Reservations are now online for the PinkNProud Charity Ride and Reception! You and your friends should look forward to ending the rally week on a high note with the first annual PinkNProud charity ride on Friday August 7th.
The rider contributions (tickets purchased) are a 100% donation to two charities who work within the Black Hills of South Dakota and across the United States. Their combined efforts cover the importance of education, awareness and restoration. One of the highlights of the 2009 ride is that the Rapid City Regional Hospital Foundation is earmarking all funds raised by PinkNProud events for a breakthrough post-treatment facility. This facility, located within the Cancer Care Institute, is geared towards image restoration for women and men in the five state region who have undergone cancer treatment.

PinkNProud events have a charitable components but are all geared to celebrate the spirit of motorcycling and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow riders from across the globe.
