RATT to join Poison at Buffalo Chip
Glam metal band RATT with original members Stephen Pearcy, Warren DeMartini, Juan Croucier, Bobby Blotzer and John Corabi will join former tour mates Poison at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground, Sunday, Aug. 5.
With more than 18 million records sold worldwide, RATT has reached the status of a rock icon from the 1980s.
The band scored many radio and MTV hits, including "Round and Round", "Wanted Man", "Back for More", "Lack of Communication", and "I'm Insane". Pearcy's raspy yet bluesy vocals melded well with the pyrotechnic guitar playing of twin leads Robbin Crosby and Warren DeMartini.
Ratt's music was influenced by 1970s hard rock and glam rock bands such as Aerosmith, Sweet, Led Zeppelin and Kiss, They fused this with heavy metal influences from the likes of Van Halen and Judas Priest.
Though they eventually incoporated more blues-rock influence into their music, the band was one of the first glam metal style groups from the early 1980s in California. DeMartini's impressive guitar solos and Pearcy's dripping-with-sex lyrics helped to further define the Ratt sound.
Also booked to perform at the Chip this year are Toby Keith on Monday, Aug. 6 and Poison the day prior with RATT. More announcements are expected this week.
