Daughtry who first claimed fame as a gloves-off rock singer on American Idol 5, has delivered one of the most successful debut albums "DAUGHTRY" in Idol history. Daughtry's band is also self-titled.
He's the real deal, said campground owner Rod Woodruff. He reached number one in Billboard Charts for his debut album. The record has since gone double platinum. He's a rocker and our audience is going to be like all his others; they're going to love him.
Daughtry, 27, from Greensboro, N.C., has a couple of enviable assets: hit songs and the ability to write them as well as he can sing them, according to the New York Times. He was the writer or a co-writer of all but two of the tracks on his debut, and his first single, It's Not Over, a midtempo torch song with a soaring chorus and serrated guitars reminiscent of post-grunge stars like Nickelback and Hinder, is a blockbuster on both pop and rock stations.
The Buffalo Chip also will host RATT and Poison on Sunday, Aug. 5 and Toby Keith on Monday, Aug. 6. More announcements for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally's premiere concert venue are expected soon. More information and reservations are available at
