Subject: More Good News from the Chip
Howdy,
Actually, it's just 103 days until the first of you arrive for this year's rally, you've been on my mind and I just wanted to say "hello." But I thought I'd also share a few newsy items.
First, two bald eagles have moved to the Chip, perhaps to take advantage of the fact that the Chip is also hosting record numbers of rabbits, jack rabbits, turkeys and a record partridge and quail hatch. More antelope, too. The snow has melted, the grass is greening and it's springtime.
Second, Mr. and Mrs. bike thieves, captured in 2003, both now have prison sentences resulting from their multistate thievery of more than $2 million worth of motorcycles. Mr. Bike Thief is already doing 20 years in South Dakota and will soon also be sentenced in Federal Court in Pennsylvania, where his wife was just sentenced to 18 months.
Third, Carol tells me she has posted daily admission rates.
Fourth, we're still smiling about having been able last week to announce five new headliner acts. We really appreciate all your "Guess The Band"
entries. Please bear with us if we're a bit slow getting back to all of you winners. There were about a half gazillion entries and Vicky's still sorting them out.
And last, we'll be making more entertainment announcements shortly.
