U.S. SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN TO JOIN CHIP’S MILITARY TRIBUTE Presumptive Republican Presidential nominee, U.S. Senator John McCain will participate in the Buffalo Chip’s annual Tribute to American Veterans and Active Duty Servicemen on Monday, Aug. 4 during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Sen. McCain’s military career and his bravery during a five and a half year imprisonment in the Hanoi Hilton during the Vietnam War makes him uniquely qualified to receive and pay tribute to the thousands of veterans and active duty servicemen who annually come celebrate American freedom at The Legendary Buffalo Chip. Sen. McCain’s appearance will take place on the Buffalo Chip’s huge stage prior to a concert performance by Kellie Pickler and Kid Rock. “We have for years been humbled to provide the Buffalo Chip stage to honor the heroic service of great American patriots,” said campground owner Rod Woodruff. “Sen. McCain’s heroism has been an inspiration to all Americans. I know the freedom-loving Sturgis Rally bikers who join us each year at the Buffalo Chip will be extremely appreciative and honored by his participation in this year’s tribute. “Senator McCain’s life has been a stalwart and courageous fight for the very freedoms that hundreds of thousands of bikers come to Sturgis each year to celebrate. He is an awe-inspiring patriot and we are privileged to have him join the Buffalo Chip’s annual tribute,” Woodruff said.
