According To Her, Tuesday Night is Going to Rock
She’s only 24 years old and Carlos Santana says if he ever passes the guitar hero baton, she’s his first choice. But Carlos isn’t the only one who thinks Orianthi is the next big thing. She opened for her hero (Steve Vai) when she was just 16. She backed up country sensation Carrie Underwood at the 2009 Grammys and she was chosen to be Michael Jackson’s lead guitarist for the “This Is It” tour. And now she is playing at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Beyond her ability to shred her Paul Reed Smith guitar and keep up when trading heads with Santana and Vai, she is a talented singer-songwriter who leads her own band and has a hit record, “According To You” from her first album on Geffen Records, “Believe.” Surely by the time she is finished with the stage on Tuesday August 10th, we’ll have seen “anything but ordinary rock-n-roll” and that’s just what the party is all about.
