Woody's Message 2006

The Buffalo Chip and the 2006 Sturgis Rally

2006 Sturgis Rally was again a stellar year. Thank you all for sharing your lives with us for a couple of weeks, for having so much fun and for all the compliments. It's satisfying to know the staff's efforts are appreciated.

Sturgis 2006 was another record year at the Buffalo Chip Campground. The Chip just keeps growing every year and we believe it'll grow even more for the 2007 Sturgis Rally. Call them "Sturgis Babes" if you like, but we know your ladies appreciated the new amenities, especially the personal attendants at the campground amphitheater's new flush toilets. We continue to believe that if the Sturgis Babes are happy, so are the rest of us.

There's not much to say about the 2006 Sturgis Rally, actually, since it seemed everything went perfectly. There seemed to be almost not even a hiccup, truly a phenomena when a campground in a pasture turns into a city of thousands of people for a couple of weeks. It was another tribute to the crews that make everything work.

Thanks especially for letting us know even before you'd left that many of you will be back with new friends for the 2007 Sturgis Rally. The crew is dedicated to working hard all year to add more amenities to make the party ever better.

Those of you with "Sturgis Rally Withdrawal" symptoms, please watch for VH1 Classic's "All Roads Lead To The Chip" special, as well as National Geographic's "Sturgis: Hell On Wheels" and the Travel Channel's "Sturgis: The Great Ride." Or get a video or DVD.

And for those of you more interested in a cure for the cause, Ride Free, Take Risks and we'll see your smiling faces again in August.

Woody
