During this years Sturgis Motorcycle Rally the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground is proud to present the 2nd Annual Rumble in the Hills Pro Hill Climb.  This event will get your heart pumping with excitement as you feel the earth-shaking thunder of a 2500 cc Harley Davidson.  The high powered, extreme motor sport will showcase the best riders in the world from the North American Hill Climb Association on nitro-burning "Open Class" unlimited motorcycles running exotic steel and paddle tire combinations.  Competing against top riders from all over the world will be California's Team Peterson and their two massive custom Harley Davidson Hill Climb motorcycles, a 1500cc nitro-methane and a monstrous 2500cc.

Virtually every brand of motorcycle will be represented with many machines utilizing fuels such as nitro, methanol, and nitrous. All machines will be 700cc or larger, with most being 1400cc. Included in the action is tight racing combined with huge horsepower and the unpredictability of spectacular crashes as riders try to set the fast time of the day and take home thousands of dollars in prize money.

In two separate three hour events, the riders will attack a 300-foot course with big ledges and radical jumps.  August 8 and 9, are the days to witness the timeless war of man and machine vs. seemingly impossible hills on battlefields.  The 700cc Class will begin at 10:00 A.M. and the Open Class will begin at 5:00 P.M. each day.
