Twist the throttle up to 80 MPH on South Dakota I-90

If you’ve ever traveled on I-90 or I-29 through South Dakota, you’ve likely noticed the 75 mph speed limit signs and the multitude of motorists who blow right by them at a minimum of 80 mph anyway. Maybe you’re one of those speed demons in the passing lane on your way to the Sturgis Rally, or maybe you’re watching license plates cruise on by you. Either way you’ll want to listen up, because an amendment to South Dakota Senate Bill 1 passed Tuesday, effectively changing the speed limit on the state’s two interstate highways.

Record Number of Black Hills Students Speeding Toward Buffalo Chip Challenge™ Scholarships

Sturgis, SD (March 4, 2015) – A record number of ambitious Black Hills high school students are racing toward a handsome scholarship prize as part of the 2015 Buffalo Chip Challenge, a program designed to teach custom bike building skills. Buffalo Chip Reaches Out in a Spirit of Cooperation as New Town Incorporates

Sturgis, SD (February 27, 2015) –The Buffalo Chip is one step closer to becoming the newest municipality in South Dakota. The Meade County Commission today accepted the petition presented by registered voters for incorporation. The registered voters and founding members of Buffalo Chip, SD will vote in an election to make the incorporation official on May 7, 2015. Buffalo Chip, SD may well be operating as a municipality before the 75th Anniversary of the rally this August.
