Buffalo Chip Hosts Record Number of Events and Entertainers in 2014

Sturgis, SD (August 12, 2014) – The 2014 Sturgis Buffalo Chip®, Motorcycle and Music Festival has throttled down, and riders are leaving with both a trove of memories and reservations for the 75th anniversary Rally in 2015. The nine days and nights of world-class concerts most certainly topped guests’ favorites list, but the Chip offered more exciting events, thrilling activities and breathtaking rides than any other rally venue and presented difficult choices for patrons each day.

 New Buffalo Chip PowerSports Complex® Opens with Sky-High Horsepower

Sturgis, SD (Aug. 3, 2014) – The Buffalo Chip PowerSports Complex will open today to give motorsports fans more horsepower than they bargained for. Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulls kick off the jam-packed week of events with 7,000 horsepower engines exploding in a show of power as they drag weighted sleds down the track during the “Thunder at the Chip.” These are not your grandpa’s farm implements.

Sturgis Buffalo Chip® Delivers More Music than Ever Before

Sturgis, SD (August 2, 2014) – With nearly 50 bands booked to perform at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, live music will be filling the campground nearly continuously throughout the 9-day festival. Billed as the Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling™, the Buffalo Chip is living up to its reputation. In addition to the top name entertainment performing on the Wolfman Jack Main Stage each evening, bands will be taking the Showcase stages located throughout the campground during the day and late into the night to entertain the sea of campers.
