STURGIS – Sturgis Buffalo Chip – the largest music festival in motorcycling ™ - is providing rally goers the chance to win a matching motorcycle and guitar for the 2012 Sturgis Rally through the Sturgis Rider® Sweepstakes. Now through the Sturgis Rally, fans can log onto to The Chip’s official website HERE and register for free for a chance to win the bike and guitar.
The legendary campground, concert and entertainment venue that has for more than 30 years been the focal point of the Sturgis Rally, has once again teamed up with Victory Motorcycles, Epiphone Guitars and Klock Werks Kustom Cycles with two goals in mind: to thanks its customers and help them seek out biker friendly establishments while attending the Sturgis Rally.
“The Sturgis Buffalo Chip shares a special bond with motorcyclists from around the world and we are grateful to welcome them home each and every August. The Sturgis Rider Sweepstakes is a great way to celebrate our 2012 Sturgis concert lineup.” said Rod Woodruff, owner of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “Last year’s Sweepstakes was a smashing success, and we can’t wait to see one lucky Chip fan ride away with this year’s Buffalo Chip-themed bike and guitar.”
The Sturgis Rider Sweepstakes brings together the biggest names in music and motorcycling. For the 2012 sweepstakes, a Victory Cross Roads will be customized by the famed Klock Werks Kustom Cycles in Mitchell, S.D. Starting off as the most elemental and pure touring bike in the Victory Motorcycles line-up, Klock Werks owner Brian Klock and his crew are sure to build it into one of the top custom bikes in the nation.
The Epiphone Les Paul Studio guitar, which will also be customized by the Klocks, is an innovation of Les Paul’s classic dream guitar. Introduced in the early 1980s, the Epiphone Les Paul Studio instantly became a fan favorite, and today’s guitar is still a classic favorite that has lost none of its bite. Both the bike and guitar will be one-of-a-kind pieces that will help commemorate one lucky winner’s 2012 journey home to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip.
“Our crown jewel summer event is the Sturgis Rally for sure,” said Steve Menneto of Victory Motorcycles. “We are pulling out all of the stops for 2012, and are happy to be part of the Sturgis Rider Sweepstakes again this year. I’m sure the Klocks and the Buffalo Chip will up the ante over last year and we are looking forward to riding with Victory fans again.”
In the upcoming months, the Sturgis Buffalo Chip will also launch the Buffalo Chip Partners program, a free service that will help rally goers seek out biker friendly businesses while giving them a chance not only to win the matching bike and guitar, but other collectibles and prizes from participating partners. Both the Sweepstakes and the Partners Program will select one lucky winner chosen from a group of finalists live on The Chip’s main stage Friday, August 10 to win the bike and guitar to highlight the 2012 festivities.
