If you’re a fan of Blue October – and who isn’t? –you definitely don’t want to miss the band’s one and only live performance at the place where every seat’s a great seat – the Wolfman Jack Stage at the Buffalo Chip Campground.

Five albums and countless hits!

Appearing one night only on August 10th, come relax and listen as Blue October performs the songs that helped make the band famous. You know the songs I’m talking about. Songs like “Hate Me,” “Schizophrenia” “Breakfast After 10,” “Holler,” “Ugly Side” and “Into the Ocean” off albums including The Answers, Consent to Treatment, History for Sale, Argue With a Tree, and Foiled.

In case you don’t know it, Blue October isn’t your typical alternative rock band cranking out cookie-cutter lyrics. Instead, the band takes chances by delving into deeper topics and as a result, has developed a strong and incredibly loyal following.

Blue October has never been afraid to sing about the issues of the day including drug use, mental depression, isolation, dependence, betrayal and forgiveness. The fact that these are the issues that band members have had to contend is what’s helped the band become so successful. Because these are the same issues their fans deal with every day, singing along with Blue October offers fans a great outlet for their own feelings.

Many of those poignant lyrics were created by principal songwriter and lead vocalist Justin Furstenfeld. Other members of this Texas quintet include Jeremy Furstenfeld on drums and percussion, C.B. Hudson on guitar, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye on keyboards, mandolin and violin and finally, Matt Noveskey on bass guitar.

Still going strong!

Although Blue October has a decade of history behind them, plenty of fans truly believe that this band is just beginning to warm up. With an understanding of the way the music world operates and tenacious ambition, there’s no doubt that Blue October is poised for even greater success. And as sales of their newest album, Foiled continue to soar, it’s clear that the band has reached into the hearts and souls of people from all backgrounds and all ethnicities.

If there’s any doubt of this band’s momentum, one need only take a glance at Blue October’s busy 2007 touring schedule.
