Red joins Buckcherry Friday August 7th

RED, which has found success in the alternative metal and rock genres will join the Friday, Aug. 7 show with Buckcherry at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground during the annual Sturgis Rally.

The band was still riding the momentum of its Grammy-nominated debut CD, End of Silence, when in February it released its sophomore effort, Innocence & Instinct. They’re an emotional band with ideas for Innocence & Instinct coming from Dante’s Inferno and a highway crash. The effort is a dynamic marriage of epic and primal. Sounds like a Sturgis Rally Buffalo Chip band, doesn’t it?

“Innocence & Instinct is about the duality of man,” said guitarist Jasen Rauch. “The album examines the fight between our childlike innocence and the instinctive side that makes us do things we shouldn’t.”

End of Silence sold more than 250,000 copies and was nominated for a Grammy. Innocence & Instinct is showing all the signs of eclipsing that effort with the first single “Death of Me” steadily moving up the charts.

Rod Woodruff, Buffalo Chip owner said: “Sturgis Rally music fans love solid rock and roll no matter where it comes from. These guys have the chops to become one of the great rock bands in our immediate future.”
