Petition Accepted for Buffalo Chip Incorporation

Hello from the newest town in South Dakota… And likely the United States. Maybe even the entire world– Buffalo Chip, SD!

On Thursday, January 25, 2018, the South Dakota Supreme Court released a 16-page statement reversing a previous fourth circuit court decision ruling against the Meade County Board of Commissioners last year. The latest Supreme Court decision rules in favor of the Town of Buffalo Chip’s 2015 incorporation.

December 17, 2017 Update – 95 Percent Containment, Some Roads and Parks to Reopen

Crews have been able to continue to hold containment lines and carry on with mop up efforts throughout the weekend. Although the total numbers of acres burned has increased to 54,023, the Legion Lake Fire has now reached 95 percent containment.

Finding the words to process a tragedy can seem impossible. When terrible things happen, it can be hard to feel like there’s any good in the world at all. But where words fail, music speaks. Less than 48 hours after Eric Church headlined Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, that same location became a grisly scene of carnage. Church considered cancelling his next performance at the Grand Ole Opry until he learned about a fallen fan and his wife who also had tickets for the Opry performance.

For nearly a decade, the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s® Motorcycles As Art™ exhibit curated by renowned motorcycle photographer Michael Lichter has led some of the world’s most well-crafted and ornate custom motorcycles and related artwork into the legendary venue’s Event Center during the Sturgis rally. The exhibit features a different theme each year that in turn informs the list of invited builders and artists. The 2017 theme, “Old Iron – Young Blood,” displayed the creations of 40 custom motorcycle builders and 18 artists all under the age of 36 and proved that the future of custom motorcycles rests in talented and steady hands. Biker babe Jesyca will get your motor runnin'.For a treasure trove of smokin’ hot biker babes, look no further than the Sturgis Buffalo Chip®. When The Best Party Anywhere® is in full swing, you can expect to see babe-a-licious bartenders, molten hot Miss Buffalo Chip contestants and more eye candy than you can shake a stick at. However, the babe you’ll see most in 2017 is Jesyca J. On May 10, she took part in a daylong photo shoot with Aaron Packard Photography as part of the Buffalo Chip Poster Model Search presented by Pabst Blue Ribbon, KSKY and Henry Roy Photography, and these shots turned out so spicy we had to let some of the heat out of the office.
