STRIDER BIKES

SD/ND DISTRICT MOTOR MAIDS DIRECTOR

I am a longtime Rapid City resident, having moved here in 1983 just after getting married.

I come from a family of riders, all 4 of my siblings ride and the rally is usually a family reunion. I started my riding career while I was still in high school in 1980. In 1991, my husband bought me a 1973 Sportster for Mothers Day, the next week we tore it down and repainted it to match his ’55 Panhead. I have been the 2nd set of hands in building and painting many motorcycles and hot rods for the 30+ years. I can back mask a set of flames and wet sand the paint after. And I know my way around a too box and speak better than average mechanic vocabulary.

In the late ‘90s I was able to start touring on motorcycles both with my husband and for 13 yrs I did a ride with 4 friends we called it the “chick ride”. Some of my favorite memories are of those vacations.

I was a working mom of 3 great kids and have enjoyed a variety of careers, hairstyling, real estate, automotive accessories, and customer service roles.

My career has kept me connected with the motorcycle industry working trade show and representing Harley-Davidson products. I currently work at Strider bikes.

In 2014 I joined the Motor Maids, and in 2018 I was appointed the SD/ND District Director – I am proud to be part of this committed group of riders and share in the rich history of the organization.
