Meet Horny Mike

History's "Counting Cars"

Counts Kustoms

Michael “Horny Mike” Henry is an airbrush artist and designer whose nickname comes from his practice of putting 3-D horns on everything – from vehicles to helmets to the riding gear he wears. He is among the distinctive characters on the History Channel’s Counting Cars based at Count’s Kustoms in Las Vegas, where the boss, Danny Koker, relies on Mike to bring his ideas to 3-D fruition. Considering the far-flung projects the shop attracts, that’s saying a ton.

“I’m just a good old boy that just wants to make the world smile,” said Horny Mike. “If the smile comes from my artwork or they are just laughing at me, I’m fine with either.”

Mike sees airbrushing as his core talent, the pursuit that started and continues to inspire his journey. “I have airbrushed every surface you can imagine; cars, bikes, walls, bodies, helmets, clothing. But as an artist I’m never satisfied and always need new challenges. Now my focus is on 3-D printing”

“I believe with 3-D there is no limit to what you can do, it’s all up to your imagination, and I have a very big imagination! I plan on showing the world what the next level of customization looks like.”

Embracing this new 3-D challenge led Horny Mike to his most outrageous project yet: the Jaw Dropper, a two-wheeled monster like no other. “Nobody’s ever done something so outlandish: but functional! “ he said. Unveiled on a spring episode of Counting Cars, the rolling sculpture will accompany Mike to the Buffalo Chip and be shown around the venue.

As a recent interviewer stated: “He’s got a very unique, outgoing personality that tends to bring a smile to your face. You can see he’s passionate about what he does.”
