Meet Lisa Bone

Lisa Bone is the CEO of Bone Mountain Motor Gear, LLC, a company founded in 2012 in Gladstone, Missouri. She is dedicated to enhancing the safety, comfort and convenience of motorcycle and motorsport riders by providing thoughtfully–designed products that are made of quality, lasting material and manufactured in the USA. Lisa, and her husband James, hold a patent and offer many trademarked products.

Lisa has been on a motorcycle since childhood and into her early teens as her family competed on the Motor-cross and Flat-track circuit. In 2012, she was so inspired by the women that she respected, and that “rode their own”, that she jumped on her own bike again. Her longest single solo ride, to date, was 3000 miles on her 2005 Softail Deluxe.

Previously, Lisa was a motion picture producer for six years in Los Angeles and Kansas City, and then has operated a successful business for 23 years in the beauty industry.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Missouri Western State College in 1985.

Lisa is also the Founder of Safe Place for Kids, Inc., a not for profit agency since 2006.  Safe Place for Kids builds and provides safe shelters for at risk children in the metropolitan Kansas City area. 

Additionally, Lisa’s service to the Kansas City, MO community also includes: 

  • Harvest Ball Society: Ball and Benefactor Committee 2015-2017
  • Board member of Northland Early Education Center, VP, 2005-2007.
  • Board Member-Presbyterian Children’s Services-2006-2008.
  • Volunteer for MOCSA (Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault) 2004-2006.
  • Volunteer coordinator -Touched by Cancer Foundation Golf 2002-2004.
  • Golf tournament volunteer coordinator and fundraiser-Hope House, a domestic violence shelter, 2004-2006.
  • Secretary- Brooktree HOA in Gladstone, MO, 2009-2011.

When Lisa is not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her husband James, and her children, Morgan, Jakob and Trevor, and granddaughters Ainsley and Riley.  Lisa unwinds by camping, reading, travel and enjoying nature. Lisa and James have logged more than 80K miles and enjoy traveling on their motorcycles cross-country.
