Meet Pee-Wee Herman

Movie & Television Icon

Pee-wee Herman is a comic fictional character created and portrayed by comedian Paul Reubens. He is best known for his two television series and film series during the 1980s. In one of the most memorable scenes from the 1985 film “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure,” Pee-wee accidentally knocks over a row of motorcycles outside of a biker bar, enraging members of an outlaw motorcycle club called Satan’s Helpers. After the bikers threaten his life, he wins back their respect by making a last request to play the song “Tequila,” and the club gives him a motorcycle to get him the rest of the way home. “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” paved the way for the Emmy-Award-winning CBS television series “Pee-wee’s Playhouse,” as well as films “Big Top Pee-wee” and a new Pee-wee movie currently in production. Pee-wee’s 2010 participation in the Legends Ride, as well as his time spent at the Buffalo Chip, was filmed for a Funny or Die web video.
