Meet Daymon Woodruff

President

The Sturgis Buffalo Chip is one of the oldest family-owned and operated music festivals in the country, and if you’re a part of that family, it’s likely you’ve assumed a few roles at the company over the last 43 years. Daymon Woodruff is no exception.

Daymon has quite literally been bred into the music and motorcycle entertainment business. From being born under the main stage and raised by vendors to running the Chip’s award-winning marketing department, Daymon has immersed himself in every aspect it takes to execute a world-renowned destination like The Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling®, including Marketing & Media, Artist Entertainment, Merchandising, Reservations, Bar Operations and many others. Daymon’s journey reads like a wild “Choose Your Own Adventure.”

He is a dynamic thinker who believes visitors should have the time of their lives, experiences should be talkable, and that the road to those objectives isn’t paved. If you want to innovate and lead the way, you’ve gotta lay down the asphalt or go off road. He’s also the first to point out that you need to explore your inner child when your job is selling fun.

“In the olden days, families became known for the fabrics they wore. It just so happens that our Woodruff family fabric is woven from a mission to throw the Best Party Anywhere for the nicest people on the planet,” says Daymon Woodruff. “If we stick to our mission, pump it full of vision and bring people together to share the magic of real human connection, we’re going somewhere big. Together.”

Don’t be surprised if you see him in a promo video as his alter-ego, Darryl Woodard, Jr. XXVI or crashing through a wall of Monster Energy Drinks on a minibike to kick off the Sturgis Rally at the Chip.

That’s just how he rolls.
