Shinedown Tour Stops at the Buffalo Chip

Get ready to rock the Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling™. The chart-topping rockers, Shinedown, are bringing their hard rock and fist pumping performance to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip on Saturday, August 4th, 2012. Fresh off their new album Amaryllis, Shinedown is ready to blast the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally crowd with their legendary American rock.

Shinedown, indisputably one of the fastest-rising rock acts of the past 10 years, formed in Florida in 2001. The emotion and cutting-edge rock sound of Shinedown’s lyrics have elevated their true American rock to the forefront of the music industry. Shinedown’s ascent to the top of rock began with their 2003 platinum debut album Leave A Whisper that featured hits like “45” and their rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man”.

In 2005 Shinedown proved it was only at the beginning of its meteoric rise with their gold Us and Them album that rocked the airwaves with “Burning Bright,” “Heroes,” “I Dare You,” and the No. 1 blockbuster, “Save Me,” which dominated Active Rock charts for 12 consecutive weeks. Followed by The Sound of Madness and now Amaryllis Shinedown cemented themselves as the premiere current rock act with hits like “Second Chance,” “The Sound of Madness,” “Fly from the Inside,” “Diamond Eyes,” “Devour,” “Bully” and “The Crow and The Butterfly”.

“I want people to be shocked,” declares Shinedown frontman Brent Smith. “I never want people to be able to put their thumb on this band. I never want anyone to know what we’re going to do. I want them to think, ‘They did it again. They surprised me.’”

“The Sturgis Buffalo Chip is excited to add Shinedown to our world-class concert lineup this year,” says Rod Woodruff, President of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “Shinedown electrifies the stage. Rally and Festival fans will be treated to an unforgettable music experience during the Shinedown show on Aug 4th, 2012 at the Buffalo Chip. We can’t wait.”

Shinedown joins to an already stellar lineup of Sturgis concerts during the motorcycle rally including Journey, Eric Church, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sugarland, Loverboy, Boston, Zac Brown Band and many more.
