Brent Loveday Ads Flavor to Massive List of Sturgis Concerts at the Legendary Buffalo Chip

Singer Brings Country Roots and Punk Rock Attitude to Sturgis Campground

Brent Loveday floods the stage with a unique blend of country narrative and punk rock grit during his Sturgis concert appearances at the Legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip.

Loveday’s unexpected sound is a welcome addition to the exciting list of bands performing in 2013 at the Sturgis campground. It’s a sound the singer songwriter credits to a mishmash of musical influences, ranging from country to doo-wop, from Memphis to Mo-town. But regardless of origin, this is genuine American music, with everyone’s state being represented and songs being sung.

“I grew up in Knoxville, TN. I hadn’t heard bands like Black Flag or The Clash yet,” Loveday says of his musical upbringing. “My first language was taught to me by Johnny Horton, Elvis, The Drifters, Chuck Berry. ‘Rocky Top’ was more of a national anthem for me than ’The Star Spangled Banner.’ Punk rock is my second language, one that I love and can speak fluently, but I dream in honky-tonk.”

Brent is the lead singer and guitarist for the punk rock band, Reno Divorce. But the musician still displays the same charm with an acoustic guitar. His solo act commands any venue, from intimate club groups to the monumental crowds at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip.

“Brent Loveday is American roots music that inspires fans to get up and move,” says Daymon Woodruff of the Legendary Bufallo Chip. “Fun, fast and energetic, he’s perfect for fans at the Best Party Anywhere.”
