Reverend Horton Heat has been converting tepid audiences to fervid believers with their revelatory rock shows since their formation in 1985. Front man and lead guitarist Jim Heath delivers their sermon of “country-fed punkabilly” with the devout candor of a rock & roll shaman whose passion for classic cars and guitars is equally apparent. His lightning-fast licks recall sounds of early American rock, blues and country icons, while also set ablaze with nitro-boosted punk rock attitude. Jimbo Wallace’s unwavering upright bass blends with Heath’s hollowbody Gretsch to create a sound that roars like a fine-tuned hot rod.
