She’s a little blonder this year, folks. But, few people who attended the 2007 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at the Legendary Buffalo Chip can forget young Jessica, our Buffalo Chip poster model.
In 2007 Poster Model Search judges were captivated by the young Jessica when she won the right to join the semi-finals where she faced extreme competition, but her lovely smile and engaging personality (among her other, obvious assets) took her to the finals and finally to success.
The shot of her perched on a biker’s shoulders graced the 2007 Buffalo Chip poster and she spent several weeks prior to the rally visiting area taverns.
Other shots of Jessica appeared on more than 40 billboards throughout the Black Hills and by the time many bikers landed at the Buffalo Chip they felt they already knew her.
She became one of the highlights of the 2007 Buffalo Chip experience. And, she shares that her trip to visit the patients at Fort Meade Veterans Hospital was among the highlights of her stay.
Shortly after her stint as our 2007 model, her apartment in Chadron burned, destroying all her Sturgis memories. But bikers responded with hundreds of photos they had taken of her and with her.
So, we were delighted to learn that Jessica would join only three previous poster models, to successfully compete for a second chance to meet the new friends she made last year. A senior in college, where she will graduate with a degree in social work, Jessica will join us once again at the Buffalo Chip.
And, this year she’s provided us a few more delightful photos with a slightly more intimate look than the poster would allow.
