Free Outdoor Expo Offers South Dakota Products, Food, Shooting Events and More at Sturgis Campground!
Come early, come all to the first annual Sturgis Buffalo Chip Outdoor Rendezvous, an outdoor expo for everyone to enjoy! This event runs Friday, Aug. 2 through Sunday, Aug. 4—just prior to the official start of the 2013 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The Outdoor Rendezvous features a BBQ competition, chili cook-off, shooting sports events, and a variety of specialty vendors. The event is free to the public and is held next door to the free Buffalo Chip Art Gallery and Exhibit Hall. If you are interested in outdoor sports, arts and crafts and great food, this is the event for you!
Attendants at the Outdoor Rendezvous have the special opportunity to meet some big names in outdoor sporting. South Dakota hunting enthusiasts have the chance to meet Patrick Flanigan, the eight-time world record holder in Xtreme Sport Shooting and take in his thrilling exhibition. And those with the need for speed can meet drag racing record holder, Andie Gaskin!
Those attending the Outdoor Rendezvous should also take advantage of the many concurrent events at the Sturgis campground. This includes the Guns of Freedom shooting event and the Motorcycles As Art exhibit, not to mention performances from amazing bands including Queensrÿche, The Cult, ZZ Top, Halestorm, Buckcherry and Pop Evil, throughout the weekend!

Whether your preference is sweet, smoky, spicy or savory, this free event, sponsored by the South Dakota Beef Industry Council, is sure to satisfy!
CHILI COOK-OFF– Satisfy your hunger and support a great cause at the 1st annual “Chipster Thundering Buffalo Chili Cook-Off” on Saturday, Aug. 3. Proceeds benefit the Meals on Wheels program of Western South Dakota Senior Services.
SHOOTING EXHIBITS – PATRICK FLANIGAN – Patrick Flanigan has been entertaining audiences since childhood. See this world record holding extreme shooter display this showman ship during his Outdoor Rendezvous shooting exhibitions!
